Zoning Code Update

The City of Cadillac has started the process of updating its zoning ordinance! The goal of the update is to make the code more user-friendly and ensure regulations support more housing choices for residents, encourage great public spaces, and maintain a strong environment for local businesses.

As a first step, the city is working with residents and stakeholders to collect public input on the existing ordinance as well as community preferences for changes.

Community Engagement

To ensure robust public participation, residents will be invited to participate in two educational sessions and at least three community surveys. Throughout the project, results of the engagement activities and draft language will be shared regularly with the city’s Planning Commission and on this webpage to allow the community ample time and opportunity to understand the process and the end result.

Survey opportunities coming soon!
