Can I leave my garbage tote at the curb?: The garbage tote can be placed at the curb the night before your scheduled pick-up day, but the tote needs to be brought back off the curb the day it is dumped.

Trash Removal & Yard Waste Removal

1. When is yard waste pick-up: The yard waste season will begin April 1st and runs
through the end of November, or the first snow fall.

2. What items are accepted for yard waste pick-up?: Accepted
Tree/Grass Clippings
Pine Needles/Cones
Leaves
Bundled Brush
Not Accepted
Dead Animals
Sod
Lumber
Ashes
Sea Weed
Branches larger than 4" in diameter
Acorns
Hay/Straw
Fruit from Trees
Cornstalks

Yard waste will be collected from the curb or alley on your normal trash day.

* Each bag may not exceed 30 lbs

* Branches must be less than 4 inches in diameter

* Branches must be less than 4 feet in length

* Each Bundle must be less than 20 inches in diameter

* A max of 10 bundles will be collected each week

*Regulations prohibit the mixing of yard waste with household trash.

4. What Holidays will effect my trash pick-up?: Republic Services recognizes the following Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. If your service days fall on or after a holiday that is a weekday, your pick-up will be delayed one day. (Example: if the holiday falls on a Friday, your service day is on Saturday.) If the actual holiday falls on a Saturday, your schedule is not affected.

5. Can I leave my garbage tote at the curb?: The garbage tote can be placed at the curb the night before your scheduled pick-up day, but the tote needs to be brought back off the curb the day it is dumped.

6. Can I put a large item out with my garbage for pick-up?: The waste hauler will take one (1) large item along with your garbage pick-up. This includes appliances, furniture, etc. Waste hauler will not accept any tires.

7. Will the waste hauler take construction material?: The waste hauler will not take construction material. If you are undertaking a construction project, you are responsible for making other arrangements for its removal.
