City of Cadillac
As a full-service government, there are many different activities that are carried out by units within the City of Cadillac. These activities include the following departments:

City Manager's Office
The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the organization and is appointed directly by the City Council. The City Manager is charged with overseeing all activities and services provided by the City of Cadillac.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department provides resources for recruitment and hiring and current employee benefits administration.
City Clerk's Office
The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining and safekeeping of all city records including city council agendas and minutes. Scheduling of community events and publishing of public notices are also performed with in the City Clerk's Office. Information regarding Maple Hill Cemetery is also handeled through the City Clerks Office.
Financial Services
The Financial Services Department is managed by the Director of Finance. Included in this function is oversight of all the City's financial resources, including development of the annual operating budget, the five year capital improvement plan, and oversight of the annual independent audit.
City Treasurer's Office
The City Treasurer's Office is responsible for collecting all city revenues including property taxes and special assessments. Administration of elections is also performed under this department.
Community Development
The Community Development Department is responsible for the City's planning. The Community Development department is also responsible for the Downtown Development Authority. The Downtown Development Authority provides resources for starting a business in the Downtown District. grant writing, and management activities.
Industrial Development
Learn about the various industrial parks located in and around the City.
Zoning
The Zoning department is responsible for ensuring that zoning ordinances are followed and enforced.
Building
The Building Department provides resources for building permits and ensures building safety in the City.
City Engineer
The City Engineer is responsible for major construction projects within the City. The Geographic Information System (GIS) is overseen by the City Engineer.
Public Safety
The Public Safety Director is responsible for all activities within the Police Department, Fire Department, and Building Department.
Public Works
The Public Works Department oversees all public works activities including maintenance of the City's streets and sidewalks, parks, cemetery, fleet and risk management activities.
Utilities
The City of Cadillac provides water and sewer services to properties within the City of Cadillac. The Utilities department is responsible for all activities related to the delivery of these services.
