All new businesses that locate or operate within the City of Cadillac must secure a business license or permit before beginning operations.

Business licenses are required of all businesses that locate and/or operate in the City of Cadillac when such businesses create a unique health, safety, and/or welfare consideration to the public.

Business licenses must be renewed on an annual basis and sometimes also require proof of insurance as well as proof of any State licenses, which may also be required.

These businesses must also conform to all zoning, building, and related City Codes.

Business License Fees

Business permits are required of all businesses that locate and/or operate in the City of Cadillac if a business license is not otherwise required. Business permits are issued on a one-time basis to businesses which pose no threat to health, safety, and/or welfare of the public.

A business permit will be required again of any business that incurs significant change in business operations (i.e. change in ownership, location, or product focus).

These businesses must also conform to all zoning, building, and related City codes.
