ACCRA
cost of Living Index (4th quarter 2002)
Because
the City of Cadillac and Wexford County areas are not
large enough for a cost of living index to be calculated,
we have referenced the closest Michigan community, the
City of Grand Rapids for this purpose.

The
ACCRA Cost of Living Index measures relative price levels
for consumer goods and services in participating areas.
The average for all participating places (U.S. and Canada),
both metropolitan and nonmetropolitan, equals 100, and
each participant’s index is read as a percentage of the
average for all places. The index does not measure inflation.
The index reflects cost differentials for professional
and executive households in the top income quintile.
Since judgement sampling is used in the survey, no confidence
interval can be determined.
