The Planning/Zoning
Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement
of the City's Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Ordinance organizes
land use types into four broad groups: Residential, Public, Commercial
and Industrial. The Zoning Ordinance sets forth regulations in
each district such as building setbacks, maximum lot coverage,
parking requirements and signage. Some of these issues are addressed
when a building permit is applied for; others have separate permit
requirements. The Community Development Coordinator performs the
review for compliance with the Zoning Ordinance. The Community
Development Coordinator also serves as secretary to the Zoning
Board of Appeals and similarly to the Planning Board.
The Community Development Coordinator for the City of Cadillac
is Mr. Jerry Adams.
