Annual Operating Budget
Adoption
The
Annual Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning July
1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2006 is scheduled to be adopted
by City Council at the regularly scheduled council meeting
on May 21, 2007.
City
staff began the budgeting process in November, 2006, by
discussing goals that would guide the budgeting process.
These goals were approved by City Council in December, 2006.
Individual department heads began preparing their budgets
in January, 2007. The initial budget proposal was completed
and submitted to the members of the City Council prior to
the charter-mandated date of March 31, 2007. Since then,
a worksession and public hearing have been held and the
budget scheduled for adoption.
